STOLEN IDENTITY Ben Urich is at the bank to ask about his ATM card when Spider-Man bursts in and announces that he is robbing the bank. He bursts into the teller window and orders the tellers to give him money while Urich looks, suspicious. At the Daily Bugle, Urich tells John Jonah Jameson about Spider-Man robbing the bank, and Peter Parker walks in, shocked at the news. Urich tells Jameson that it might have been a different Spider-Man, but Jameson has him run the story anyway. Peter is crushed at an impostor committing crimes and blaming it on Spider-Man, and sees a cop car at his house, and rushes inside. Gwen Stacy is sleeping on his couch and George Stacy and May Parker are talking, and May tells Peter that Gwen's mother left the family and Stacy is going to a police conference for a couple of days and Gwen will stay at their house. In the basement, Mary Jane Watson talks to Peter and is upset at Gwen staying. That night, the news reports another daring crime committed by Spider-Man, and Peter gets into costume to deal with the impostor himself. Police see him and start shooting, and a bullet hits Peter's shoulder, and he falls to the concrete below.
